Using LaTeX instead of Microsoft Word

In an age where word processors are easy yet powerful, and can create for you clean-looking document in a matter of minutes, the idea of manually typesetting a document can be a bit bewildering. However, using a free typesetting application such as LaTeX can be just as easy as a word processor, and quite a bit more powerful.
