Intel to Unveil New CPU's TodayIntel Corporation is hosting a press and analyst event in San Jose, California today to introduce the Pentium® III and Pentium® III Xeon™ processors based on Intel’s 0.18 micron process technology. According to Maximum PC Magazine, Intel "is planning to unveil no less than 15 different CPUs . . . for notebooks, desktops, workstations, and servers." Maximum PC also states that according to system builders, the new CPUs are slightly faster than AMD's 700MHz Athlons.
