No In Box Voodoo4/5 DriversLinuxGames.comarchive.org is reporting that unfortunately 3dfxarchive.org's new card line the Voodoo4 and Voodoo5 will not be shipping with linux drivers, they're reason is the following:
We aren't shipping linux drivers in the box yet. One of the reasons is that our latest V3 (and our upcoming V4 and V5) drivers are based on Xfree 4.x. Until Xfree 4.x is more prevalent among the linux distributions, it doesn't really make sense for us to ship drivers in the box. You can download our V3 linux drivers from linux.3dfx.comarchive.org. The voodoo4 and voodoo5 drivers for linux will also be available from that site, about one month after those cards ship. |
