The Linux Counterarchive.org is an attempt to collect information on Linux users and LUGs. The site also has links provided that are detailed statistics on the who, what, and where's of users. A LUG can sign up at the User Group Registration page. If you have not registered as an individual, think about signing up and getting countedarchive.org.
