Training for new LUG membersA member of the Suncoast LUGarchive.org pointed out a website, Basic Linux Trainingarchive.org that provides free training based on several popular Linux books. There are two courses available, a Basic Linux Trainingarchive.org and a Linux 102archive.org as a follow on course. The first course covers from selecting a distribution to setting up network connections. And the follow on course covers filesystem, programming tools, etc. A mailing list is also available to participate in while taking the courses to provide answers to possible questions concerning course content and discussions of the material covered. New terms begin the first Monday of every month and the last day for registration is the Saturday prior. |
