An informal Birds-of-a-Feather (BOF) session, titled "Linux Writers and Publishers BOF," is being planned by Michael J. Hammel, author of The Artist's Guide to the GIMP and writer for Linux Journalarchive.org. The session is intended to bring together writers and publishers from throughout the Linux and Free Software community in an informal atmosphere.
Representatives from Linux Magazinearchive.org, MacMillanarchive.org, Prentice Hallarchive.org, Linux Weekly Newsarchive.org, Linux Todayarchive.org, and Linux.comarchive.org will be present, among other prominent members of the Linux news and publishing scene. The BOF session will be open to the public to voice their opinions and ask questions of the participants. The Linux Writers and Publishers BOF is scheduled for Thursday, October 14, 1999, at 5:00pm local time in the Brayton room of the Cobb Galleria convention centre in Atlanta, GA, the site of the Atlanta Linux Showcase. | |
