Introducing Sketch

Sketch is a vector based drawing application much like Adobe Illustrator, or Corel Draw. It offers much of the features that any advanced level illustrator should. With Sketch users can draw all the basic primitives, anywhere from rectangles, ellipses, and Bézier curves. Each primitives has a number of properties which can change the primitives to adapt to users needs. Also offering a number of special effects, such as text that can be converted to bézier curve, text along a path and Blend Groups: Automatically updated interpolations of arbitrary objects. It also supports XFig (.fig), Adobe Illustrator (.ai) files, Corel CMX, Windows 3.1 Metafiles, Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) and for its own file format, through the use of plugins. In summary, offering a number of features, including special effects and plugins Sketch presents an alternative illustration application for illustrators already working on, or thinking about working on a Linux system.
