AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 18, 2000-- ProsoftTraining.com(SM) (Nasdaq:POSO), the global leader for Internet certification, training and courseware, Friday announced the launch of Version 4 of its Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW) certification and course curriculum.
Training and education organizations representing over 1,000 sites already support the CIW program. Enhancements are a regular part of the process of keeping the CIW credential up to date with ever-evolving Internet technology and responding to suggestions from educators and certificate holders. Version 4 of CIW has increased emphasis on e-commerce and Linux throughout. This version also introduces "master"-level certification tracks composed of related job roles in the current version. Internet professionals can now earn certificates as a Master CIW Administrator, Master CIW Designer or Master CIW Enterprise Developer.
"We continue to expand and evolve our programs to reflect the changing needs of individuals and organizations," said Jerry Baird, Prosoft chairman and chief executive officer. "We have added an e-commerce element to all the job-specific courses offered, and have placed special focus on e-commerce. We have also included Linux materials and labs in addition to the Windows NT content in our Master CIW Administrator track."
CIW v4 is compliant with the Association of Internet Professionals' (AIP) industry-level specifications for Internet job roles.
