Blender 1.72 is out.
This new version of the popular 3D package Blender, is basically bug fixes from Blender 1.63.

Blender, a free 3D graphics application has been recently gaining quite a bit of popularity amongst artists and students at universities. Part of the reason for this is that it is available on many systems, including SGI, Solaris, i386 with unix like operating systems. Being very reliable and really fast, it has all the features a good 3D graphics application should.
Features animation, rendering, and modeling tool all really well implemented.
