Hi,

I'm the author of Q3ServerKit...

I've released this before on the net and may have been on your site...the response was great and so far Q3ServerKit has had over 6000 downloads in just over a month. I've been working hard to get more features in there and a new version is finally released. I'd love to have an announcement on your site or even be featured if it's not too much to ask.

Downloads and screenshots are at : http://www.legowhore.com

Here's a quick summary of the changes:

Q3ServerKit 2.0 has the following new features:

  • Runs on Win32, Solaris and Linux
  • All new graphics
  • Real-time chat panel added
  • Feedback form added
  • Raw server messages console added
  • Ability to start the Q3A dedicated server
  • Support for both the Q3Demo version and the Full Retail version
  • some minor bug fixes
  • source code is available
as well as these features from the previous version:
  • remote and localhost server monitoring
  • automatic detection of a localhost server
  • real time player information (name, ping and score)
  • easy addition of bots with all skill levels
  • a 'kick' button...great for getting rid of bots or other undesireables

:)

  • server information (name, fraglimit, map, etc.)
  • server password support
  • simple map changing interface
  • server statistics (total frags, total games, total connections, etc.)
  • server variable interface (to change the gravity, speed, etc.)
  • iconified operation (can't tell you how cool this is!)
  • dynamic logo changing (for monitoring the server state at a glance)
  • a 'hidden' feature for those of you willing to look for it :)

Thanks again,

- LegoWhore
