Fusion Engine
Outrage Entertainment has announced today that they
are now licensing one for the most powerful 3D engines on the market
today. The engine can be seen in FreeSpace and Descent 3, which
demonstrates cutting edge graphics technology as well as multiplayer
technology.

Editors such as 3DStudio Max are widely used for creating and animating characters. The created items can them be imported from 3DStudio Max for use with the Fusion Engine. The engine supports OpenGL, Glide, and Direct 3D on Windows, and OpenGL and Glide on Mac and Linux.
The Fusion Engine supports Windows, Mac, and Linux. It is availabe for a flat fee of $200,000 for one title, or $100,000 plus 2% royalties. Special arrangements can be made for multiple titles. To read more go here.
