This new release has the following new features and bug fixes:

  • Now works with newer Linux Kerenls in the 2.3.x developer branch.
  • Now determines kernel configuration information without parsing kernel headers directly. This should solve a lot of problems related to the installation Device3Dfx.
If you experienced trouble installing previous revisions of Device3Dfx due to difficulties with kernel headers please try this new release. Note, that this release does NOT solve problems related to incorrect kernel headers or lack of kernel headers. If this release fixes your installation problems please inform joseph@3dfx.com, as the same solution may benefit other drivers as well.

** Note that This release does not work with the DRI/XFree86 4.0 based drivers.
