NovaStor Rings in the New Year With Free 24-Hour Technical Support
NovaStor Corp. announced that they will offer a free 24-hour Y2K support service to all their customers between Dec. 31, 1999, to Jan. 3, 2000.
"We at NovaStor are committed to insuring that our customers will continue to do business after the new year," said Peter Means, president of NovaStor. He went on to say: "NovaStor has been in the forefront of backup and recovery software for over 12 years and we have thousands of satisfied customers using our full line of end-user and network backup software.
"The quality of our technical support has built a strong reputation for NovaStor and we intend to be available to offer free support to our customers at this most critical time. We are an essential part of their Y2K preparedness programs, therefore we will be available to insure everything runs smoothly."
NovaStor is recommending that companies take full backups of all their computer systems just prior to the end of 1999. For critical systems, a copy should be stored at an alternate location. For nonstop computer systems, an additional incremental backup should be completed prior to midnight on Dec. 31.
NovaStor also recommends that companies continue to perform comprehensive backups for several weeks after Jan. 1 to insure that there are no unforeseen Y2K problems in their hardware or software that can affect their data.
NovaStor will have technical support engineers available 24 hours a day from Dec. 31, 1999, until Jan. 3, 2000, to answer all customer calls relating to the Y2K issue.
