Linux.com Article DB: Intel to Make Cheap PCs Cheaper

According to a ZDNet article: "These minimal-cost PCs, likely costing $600 or less and perhaps as low as $399, will be driven by a forthcoming inexpensive integrated Intel processor, code-named Timna. Intel says such PCs should benefit customers by allowing PC makers to create a range of new cheap PCs, full-function PCs or appliance devices that cost even less, based on the relatively inexpensive Timna." The move by Intel is clear, they need to create a cheaper processor so that vendors can actually start turning a profit on low-end system. This also puts them in a place that AMD hasn't touched yet.
