Apex and Intel Will Invest 12 Million Euro in SuSE
SuSE Linux announced that they will be receiving funds from two investors, venture capital group Apax Partners and Intel. Tim Keating, Director, Content Group, Intel EMEA, said: "Intel is investing in SuSE because we want to encourage the diffusion of Linux on Intel-based computers in Europe. Our focus will be the Pentium III Xeon processor and eventually the Intel Itanium processor." Moves like this demonstarte how large computer firms are recognizing Linux and that it is now becoming a force in the operating system market. Continued investments such as these will help Linux grow at an even faster rate.
