XMMS Team Announces Plugin Competition

4Front Technologies and the developers of the X MultiMedia System (XMMS) present a competition for the best XMMS plugin.

The developers of the X MultiMedia System (XMMS), a popular multimedia content player for Linux and UNIX systems, announce a competition for the best XMMS plugin. "Any types of plugins are accepted," says Olle Hällnäs, XMMS developer. "And it's between the 10th of November til 10th of December."

Rules and prizes for the competition are available at the competition page. The winner will receive a Sound Blaster PCI16 sound card, US $50 in cash, an Open Sound System (OSS) licence, and the QSound plugin for XMMS. Second prize is OSS and QSound, and the third prize is an OSS licence.

XMMS is also announcing the available of the QSound iQ Effect plugin, a port of QSound iQ for Windows to Linux and MMS. More informatioon about the plugin is available at the plugin page.
