PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 4, 1999--WebTrends Corporation (Nasdaq:WEBT), the leader and pioneer in enterprise management, analysis and reporting for E-Business and Internet-based systems, today announced that WebTrends will provide a trial version of WebTrends(R) Enterprise Reporting Server for Linux on the upcoming server edition of Red Hat's Linux Applications CD (LACD).

This edition, included with the Professional Edition of Red Hat Linux 6.1, extends WebTrends award-winning solution to a targeted Internet server audience.

WebTrends enterprise class solution is the first web traffic analysis product designed for Linux and provides unmatched performance and scalability for high-traffic web sites such as Internet service providers (ISPs), web hosting sites, managed service providers (MSPs), and corporate sites that have adopted this rapidly emerging platform. The new bundling agreement is the second such effort between the two industry leaders.

According to market research firm International Data Corporation (IDC), Linux was the fastest-growing server operating environment in 1998, growing more than 212 percent in that year alone and capturing more than 17 percent of all server operating system shipments. Today, Linux boasts more than 10 million users worldwide.

"We are very pleased that Red Hat has chosen WebTrends solutions to be provided to their enterprise customers," said Glen Boyd, President and CTO of WebTrends Corporation. "Response to our Linux solution has been very positive and we expect the trial version with Red Hat to continue to grow an important part of our business."

"WebTrends has long been a leader in providing enterprise reporting and management solutions," said Paul McNamara, Vice President of Business Development at Red Hat Software. "Having their solution available for Red Hat Linux server 6.1 enterprise customers is a response to their needs and demands for high-end applications."
