For a secure anonymous ftp daemon
D. J. Bernstein, author of qmail has a ftp daemon built for security, that allows only anonymous read only connections. It executes no external programs, all routines built into the daemon itself. This would be an excellent daemon for people who want to run an anonymous only ftp site and not have to worry about the recent series of security holes in all the popular ftp daemons.
