Keep up with updates!
Ensure you're keeping up with the latest patches for your distributions. A lot of security issues have been raised over the past few weeks. For Debian, use "apt-get update" followed by "apt-get upgrade" to check for the latest packages. For RedHat, ensure that you have the latest patches available from RedHat Errata. SuSE uses its own series of scripts, information on which is available from the SuSE website.
