Do you disagree with any of our featured article contributors or editorial columnists? Send in a rebuttal in the form of an editorial article, using our writing guidelines below. If the article is insightful and provocative, it will be posted to the front page of Linux.com as part of our featured articles section. The writing guidelines follow below.

Writing Guidelines

Keep the length of your article reasonable. 1000-1500 words is a good target, depending on the topic and scope of discussion. Avoid FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt) or bashing in commentaries. Read the Linux Advocacy mini-HOWTO. Use facts when comparing Linux to other operating systems. Opinions about Linux and other operations should be clearly stated as such. Combatting FUD against Linux is fair play, but make sure that your rebuttals are of the same standard that any of your opinions would be.

We recommend that articles are accompanied with a title, as well as an introduction that explains the article's scope and audience. Remember, the title and introduction of the article is the part shown in the front page of Linux.com.

Send Your Articles
