Linux Turns 8 Today!

Happy Birthday Linux! The Linux operating system is 8 years old today.

Linux 0.0.1 was first publicly released on September 17, 1991. It was hacked together on Linus Torvald's 386 at his home in Finland. Eight years later, Linux is riding a multi-billion dollar industry, and is not showing any signs of slowing down.
