Rocket Arena 3 is one of the most highly anticipated Q3A mods, and the Rocket Arena series has been very successful since Quake 1.
sCary of the ShugaShack has posted a series of screenshots. The maps look great.
A short list of the most notable features:-8 Multi-Arena maps with 32 arenas to play in -4 different game types (including the traditional Rocket Arena and Clan Arena modes) -Easy to use in-arena menu system (including admin and voting) -14 track soundtrack by a number of notable artists including DJ Pill, Sonic Mayhem, and Silent Warrior (we're keeping the full list secret for now!) ...and (of course) much much more (see http://www.planetquake.com/servers/arena/about.shtm for a complete list).
The first release will be available natively for both Win32 and Linux, and will be 50-60mb in size. The full soundtrack will be available as a separate 60-70mb download (highly recommended!).
Games.Linux.com will be doing a review of RA3 and several other popular Quake 3 Arena mods later this week. If you have a mod you'd like us to consider contact me.
